Who we are
Two people. No middlemen.
Swift Web Design is me and one other person. When you email us, one of us reads it. When your site breaks, one of us fixes it. There's no account manager, no ticket queue, and no junior developer you've never spoken to touching your project halfway through.
Josh
I'm Josh. The other half of Swift Web Design is Harry, who you'll hear more about below.
I started out self-taught: YouTube, online courses, and eventually the HubSpot Academy certifications, while working at a marketing agency. My job there covered a strange spread of clients, paint sprayers, decorators, a couple of charities, plumbers, and at one point a private jet company. Somewhere along the way my role shifted from marketing into building and fixing websites, mostly WordPress, but Shopify, Wix and Squarespace too. A lot of that range ended up in our portfolio.
That's where I saw the same problem over and over. A small business would come in wanting a website, and the quote would start at three grand before anyone had built anything.
Harry
Harry came from a completely different direction. He used to run a record label and play music himself, then moved into audio work for video games. Somewhere in there he became the person who cares more than anyone I know about which font a heading uses, or whether a colour is a shade too warm. If a page on this site looks right, that's him.

That's when we started Swift Web Design, mostly because of that three-thousand-pound number. We wanted to build sites at that same standard for businesses who couldn't stretch to that price, and back it with ongoing support, because most small business owners don't have the time or the technical knowledge to deal with their website once it's live. We end up acting like an employee of yours, just a lot cheaper than hiring one.
Where we actually are
Neither of us works out of an office. I'm in Sheffield, born and raised. Harry's in Kettering. We work with businesses across the whole UK, wherever you are, not just near either of us.
If any of this sounds like the kind of studio you'd rather deal with, get in touch and one of us will actually reply.
