Landscaping & tree surgery

Websites for landscapers and tree surgeons.

No trade on earth has better before and after photos than yours, and almost nobody in it uses them properly. A wrecked garden next to the finished version sells the job on its own.

The actual problem

You are selling something invisible.

A customer with a patchy lawn and a rotten fence cannot picture the finished thing. They are being asked to spend thousands on an outcome that exists only in your head.

That is why the before and after pair is the most valuable asset your business owns. It closes the imagination gap in about two seconds, and it does it better than any amount of copy.

Tree surgery has the opposite problem. Nobody wants a tree removed for fun. They want it gone because it is dangerous, overhanging a neighbour, or subject to a council notice. That customer is anxious and needs to know you are insured, certificated, and will not leave a mess or a legal problem behind.

Two different jobs, often in the same business, and the site has to do both without confusing either.

What goes on a landscaping site

Show the transformation, prove the tickets.

Garden work sells on images. Tree work sells on credentials. Most firms do both, so the site needs to lead with the right one depending on who arrived.

Before and after, paired properly

Side by side or as a slider, taken from the same angle. This is the single highest-converting thing on a landscaping site and it is usually the worst-handled.

Projects grouped by job type

Patios, decking, full garden redesigns, fencing, driveways, grounds maintenance. Someone pricing a patio wants to see patios, not scroll past nine lawns.

Arb certification displayed

NPTC and City & Guilds chainsaw tickets, Arboricultural Association membership, ISA certification and public liability cover. For tree work this is the deciding factor, not the price.

TPOs and conservation areas

Explaining protected trees and council notices in plain English. Homeowners often do not know they need permission, and the firm that explains it is the one they trust with the job.

Built for a seasonal trade

Enquiries spike in spring and after storms. The site needs to make the most of those weeks, and the content should keep working through the quiet months.

Commercial grounds maintenance

Schools, estates, councils and letting agents buy on contract, not on impulse. Steady recurring income that deserves its own page and its own language.

Closest thing we have built

Same problem, different trade.

We have not built a landscaping site yet, and we would rather say that than invent a case study. What we have built is Peak Plastering, which had exactly the problem described above.

No website, work arriving through Instagram and Facebook, and quote requests dying in DM inboxes. The business was entirely visual and none of that visual work was reaching anybody who was searching.

We built it from scratch with proper contact forms, a business email and local SEO. The structure that fixed it is close to what a landscaping firm needs, because the underlying problem is the same: good work, invisible online.

Landscaping is seasonal and cash flow follows the weather. A fixed price agreed before the work starts is worth more to you than an hourly arrangement that drifts.

  • From £400, fixed before we begin.
  • No VAT, because we are not VAT registered.
  • Typically 2 to 8 weeks, and we can time it to land before your busy season.
  • Once it’s paid in full and live, the site, the domain and the finished content are yours.
  • Larger projects take a 20% deposit, with the balance due before go-live.

Common questions

What landscapers usually ask

From the same spot, at the same height, in similar light. That is the whole trick and almost nobody does it. Stand somewhere memorable before you start, take the shot, and go back to the same spot when you finish. A properly matched pair converts better than a professionally shot gallery of unrelated angles.
Usually separate sections rather than separate websites. The customers are in different states of mind: a garden redesign is a want, an unsafe tree is a problem. Splitting them lets each lead with what matters, images for one and certification for the other, without either getting diluted.
For tree work, the ones customers and insurers care about: NPTC and City & Guilds chainsaw tickets, Arboricultural Association membership, ISA certification if you hold it, and your public liability cover. For landscaping, BALI or APL membership carries weight. List what you genuinely hold, with numbers where you have them.
Plan for it rather than fight it. Winter is when tree work and hard landscaping quotes get booked for spring, so the site should keep those pages working through the quiet months. It is also the sensible time to build, because the site is finished and indexed before the spring enquiries start.
If you want that work, yes. Schools, housing estates, letting agents and councils buy on contract and search in different language to a homeowner. The income is recurring and far more predictable than domestic jobs. One well-written page aimed at that buyer often pays for the whole site.
